If you're going to engage a long range player don't bring either or any SMG.

Sometimes the other team can be real ♥♥♥♥♥ and not do what you want. MP7 has a reasonable chance of hitting things mid to long range though.

I personally find the pistols better for mid/long range in terms of cost efficiency and effectiveness.

Depends on the situation, both have their uses. In general the MP7 is technically a better weapon, but the MP9 is much more cost efficient and is better for mobility and run and gun.
