Overclocking a laptop's CPU and iGPU
Hello there, I know what you're thinking, "lol what's this have to do with cs:go?". The truth is, I don't know where else to ask.

I have a HP ProBook 6560b (LQ580AW) laptop, it's an awesome laptop for casual games and older source games, it gets a relatively stable ~40 FPS in CS:GO and sometimes dips below 30, wich just isn't cutting it for me when I'm trying to improve. My settings are all on low, I've tried everything to increase the framerate, but to no avail.

Now, onto the actual question. Would it be smart to overclock the CPU and iGPU? (i5 2520M and HD graphics 3000.) It runs on Windows 10, I've updated all the drivers.
If it'd be smart, how should I go about doing it? I have relatively good knowledge of hardware but haven't overclocked before. If anyone were to help me, that'd be great.

Thanks in advance.

(Also apologies for my terrible English)

i dont think you can overclock parts of a laptop, but best bet is that you can ask the pcmr or techsupport subreddits

you can overclock laptop's cpu & gpu but intergrated graphics is a not worth it as it causes alot of problems temp wise etc i would suggest getting a dedicated graphics for your laptop instead or saving your money to buy a desktop

exactly save up money for a decent computer just forget about "overclocking laptops" the only thing you will do is to ruin it

I don't think it's a great idea to overclock laptops, because don't they overheat as they are? And besides can you even can overclock laptops? As far as I know you need special parts to be able to overclock properly. Like for desktops there is a K at the end of Intel processors. So for example: 4770 can't be overclocked while 4770K can.

Laptops can be overclocked safely if you know what you are doing and only usually with top end gaming ones - such as mine which is an Asus G75 i7 with dedicated nvidia gtx 3gb 670m which i overclock fine
Even if you could overclock your laptop, it would consume itself in the fire in a few minutes.

It's not reccomendable at all.
