Do gaming keyboards really matter
I've played 1k hours of csgo without a gaming keyboard using a wireless mac keyboard that's seems to work perfectly. My character In game doesn't react slow, I can press mutiple buttons at once, the press down time is so fast there is barely any space for it to travel to make the key respond. Does a $130+ gaming keyboard really do anything good to your gameplay besides colors?

I'd say no. It's just for "I got the newest __________ gaming keyboard with 50000 macros and colors and ♥♥♥♥" bragging rights.

I matter.

For FPS's? No, mouse is far more important than the keyboard. For MMO's and action games, yes it matters.

If you want a maximum performance and light on it, go with an expensive one.

A mechanical keyboard is more about comfort than performance.

The only time gaming keyboards could be considered better is in MMOs where you need to press a lot of buttons. Even then you dont need it.

There is a difference bettween rubber and mechanical.
The "gaming" part is simply marketing.

id say look for an expensive mouse before a keyboard

If you want comfort then I would say NOT to go for mechanical keyboard.
The only plus for mechanical keybaords is the feedback you get from the buttons and perhaps the durablilty. IMO

Also: mechanical keyboards are more comfortable when typing. you might want to consider that because you use your keyboard for college/school stuff, too.

Not to mention that mechanicals are really loud compared to the rest. Depends on where and when you play.

That depends on the switch. Blue switches are loud, others are pretty quiet.

I play on a 10 year old keyboard which is non mechanical. Sometimes I swap it out for my steelseries on a different PC. The only difference is how quick it recognises a press on mechanical compared to non mechanical... Other than that I have no problem playing on any keyboard. If you feel like it works for you, then don't even bother buying a new one... If you want one, don't go into all that fancy stuff that cost a lot more... Just buy a regular mechanic keyboard. Also make sure you get the feel of different switches (Blue, brown, black...)

All that matters is a nice and comfy optical mouse for CS:GO of your preference. Preferably with a cable, so there is no delay as there is with wireless.
