Best Mouse Settings
Hello guys, I'm wondering whether you can help me out...?

I am a console competitive gamer looking to start playing CS:GO competitive. I'm looking into mouse settings because I want to find the best setting without wasting possible improvement time.

I am clueless about what I should use...

At the moment my Razer Mamba Tournament Edition is running at 1800DPI as that's what I find comfortable for Web browsing. I was also using the default sensitivity at like 7 until I saw people use like 2.

I set my sensitivity down to 2 and it was a bit low, so made it 3 and it was decent.

I'm just wondering what you guys recommend?

Should I lower DPI to like 800 and play at something like 3 and just deal with it? It's seems super unsensitive to games like CoD... is that normal and something I need to get used to?

...as you can see I'm a console noob. Any help will be greatly appreciated :)

Cheers guys!

Depends on your playstyle... Do you play on a small mousepad and just play out of your hand try to use a higher sens (as you do)...
If you have a big desk with big mousepad and play with your full arm, try to put your sensivity as low as you can...
Most important to say is:
High sense = Inaccurate aim but better in turning around when your enemy is behind you
Low sense = More accurate in aim but you need more than one "swing" to turn around

I play 800 DPI at 1.5 Sense and for me it is totally fine :)

whatever you're comfortable with lol

You just need to find the settings what work best for you. Everyone prefers something different, and there isn't a "best setting".

I always did best with low SI, currently playing at 600: 1000 DPI & 0.6 ingame with RAW input. about 18" of mouse travel to do a 180

Damn homie that's some pro sensitivity. I've seen a lot of good players with that.

it's personal preference it really helps getting the headshots down for me, I've always played with low senitivity ever since CS 1.5 thru source, I stopped playing CS right when GO came out and just a few weeks ago got back into it. still a bit rusty but HS ratio is just above 50% and used to be around 75% when I used to play everyday.

Yes. I wish I can use those settings. But I'm just so used to mine. It has all my muscle memory and everything. My HS is around 45%

Depends ho you play cs:go.

if your entry you might want a slightly higher sens 2.5-3,

If you lurk or awp you may want lower sens 1.6-2

I use 420 dpi and 1.6 sens, primarliy awp/scout

depends on what u like doing, i used to play 0.8 sens (400dpi) as a lurker and was quite succesfull (dmg at that time). Now i play 2-2.2 (400dpi) because its comfy for turning around fast enough and is precise for me etc. Just fiddle about with it and find something you are happy with
