How do people get such smooth movements with their mouse?
I use a sensitivity I like, and a mousepad. But my mouse seems to jerk around a lot more than other people.

Well, even if you like your sensitivity, it sounds like you may need to lower it. May I ask how high you have it and your dpi?

I play on 400dpi with 2.75 ingame, its kinda smooth. Google "csgo pro player settings". There are lists of dpi, ingame sens etc of the pros.

I'm not exactly a techie, I don't know how to check. But I can tell you that to go all the way across the screen it takes my mouse 2 inches if I go slow.

if you go slow? turn off mouse acceleration

Do you have mouse acceleration on? Also smoothness comes with a low sensitivity and smallhand movements. I use 800dpi 1.05 sens in game with 7/11 windows and have a razer deathadder 2013. To go across your screen is not a great measurement, how many inches does it take to do a 360? I use a steelseries QCK+ mousepad and I have to use the entire thing to do a 274 degree turn.

Well, I have it off, I was talking about if you lash your mouse the cursor goes farther and the mouse goes shorter.

You can't turn off mouse acceleration that's built in the Windows without using a fix. The in game one I have no idea what's the point of it since I still had acceleration from Windows... Also I play on 800DPI with 3.0Sensitivity. Feels fast but I have a button that drops my DPI to 400 if need be :)

if changing the speed of the mouse changes how many inches it takes to go across your screen then you have it on

Oh, as said, I'm not a techie by any means. Thanks for enlightening me!

you may try going to control panel, the hardware and sound, then devices and printers. (some devices and printers is the second step).

right click on your mouse and select mouse settings

then select pointer options, and then deselect the enhance pointer precision if it is checked. click apply an do.

ingame make sure raw input is on. and a good rule of thumb. multiply your dpi and your ingame sens to get between 800-1200. along with starting a map up and find a corner or a point like the top of A, strafe and see if you can keep your aim at the point. if you cant maintain that, then your too fast and need to lower ingame sens or dpi.

i think he may mean changing his dpi. and if you set it higher then your mouse will move faster. if i move my mouse an inch it might go 1/4 of my screen. raise the dpi and now in that same inch it will go from one side to the other. dpi=dots per inch.

1600 dpi at 1.48 sense. Steelseries sensei MLG edition with steelseries QCK surface. No mouse acceleration.

My mouse movement is super smooth. You should watch me play. Headshot level all the time. Peeking perfectly with mouse movement levelled.

i have what would be considered a high sensitivity to most people (1.6 @ 800dpi) and it takes about 13 inches to turn 360 degrees

and i play with 1.05 acceleration
