smurfs in overwatch

i know that being to good at the game isn't a valid reason to be banned or anything but in my overwatch cases its clearly more smurfs the actual hackers and this alone should prove that its disruptive to competitive game play and is something that needs to be delt with. Overwatch should add in an option for smurfs, now some people say that they just fall under the catagory of Griefing which i can understand why they say that, it say in the discription of Griefing "anti-competitive" something or other but that alone isn't enough to convince someone that they need to be removed from the game intirely. i think that something else should be implemented into over watch like a dedicated smurf button that send the case to someone more official or something to determine the penalty. most smurfs that i run into in comp games do use a second account though so i think a ban or atleast set day ban is in order

this link is an image that shows just how smurfing negitivly affects the community i know that this person had to be in a 4 queue because he is playing solo..... 4 other bots on his team and is still 1v5 clutching every match and know that this wasnt some set up because he was still reported. This is with out a dought in my mind something that has to be taken care of

It will never be dealt with, Instead what will happen is a bunch of toxic kids will come in this thread and say something like "git gud" or "it adds skill to the noobs". Its even worse with the new ranking system.

for this particular case its vary obvious, but as im only GN3 and i know overwatch will not give me a case over my own rank and i know through personally experiance and seeing others that this isnt just a "good game"

This is an ongoing issue, ive played the cs series endlessly ever since 99' i have had 6 smurf accounts overwatch banned because the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ tick on the demos cant keep up with me but no worries ill keep buyin new ones care less i play same way with my account /w 3k inventory, its GE obviously. this smurf is supreme, but since these have skins they dont get looked at badly. So rule is get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ knife or expect ez bant lol unti csgo impliments a Forced-Vid relay so a short clip of them seeing what you see (like when you broadcast)

My favorite thing to do on smurfs is play scout/tek9/5-7 only. But Holy ♥♥♥♥ i can watch my own replays and i even think im hacking.

ya but they could of just had a good game. also with the rank changes some skilled players have dropped down to lower ranks.

for example my LEM buddy stayed away long enough for rank to go away and now his rank is GN3 after he got a win to see rank . he is capable of getting 40 kills in matches but he is not a smurf thats his main account.

so if he was reported should he get a griefing ban if someone assumed was a smurf after seeing him get many kills and do very well? no would be insane for him to be punished just for doing good but is a lower rank

i understand the derank has replaced everyone my account was mg2 before the great deranking but i stayed GN3 so i know that LEM and ive even seen people who claim Supreme are in that rank if ive notice that there are LEM and such others should have to now back to the main topic i will admit that my claim is vary specific to match of overwatch that i just watch where its so ovvious that if it slapped you in the right ear with a wet fish it still more obvious i just think that there needs to be atleast one implimentation made because it loooks like steam is not even trying to fix the matter and im sure that this wont "fix" the problem but it could show a noticable change in the community

still in the end innocent players could get griefing banned if the majority believe they are a "smurf" but in fact they are not.

i get smurfing is annoying but what you suggest has potential to punish people who have done nothing wrong and also will cause people who intend to be good overwatchers to end up having there overwatch score lowered whenever they believe someone is smurfing but the majority do not agree

so i dont see how a smurfing verdict could be properly used by overwatch. like i said before someone could simply have a good game that could make them look like a smurf
