All it do is closing not needed processes and tasts in the background for you if you start the game.

You can also do that all with the taskmanager.
I tryed it out some times but it brings nothing for me. I think it is something for bad PC´s.
There it can bring something.

Installing an extra program that runs in the background to "free up system resources" seems counterproductive.

I'm sure there's nothing that type of software can do, that you cannot do yourself. Try and find out what caused the drops, and try and remedy that, instead of installing more useless software...

Get something like MSI Afterburner so that you can monitor your temperatures and stuff while ingame. This game mostly uses the CPU so if your CPU is getting hot, your performance in CSGO will drop. As mentioned in this thread, don't get any of these "game booster" tools, they don't offer anything that you can't already do with Windows alone and if there is any it's a placebo effect.

You should already have a heatsink for your CPU, so if you don't, that's probably your problem all along o_o

If you do, maybe your paste ran out and you may need to buy some thermal paste. It's very easy to apply, the Arctic MX-4 kind lasts a very long time and costed me about $8.
