Russians saying they are from Sweden on Steam
How come so many russians I play with have Sweden set on their profiles, swedish flags on their pictures and when I ask them where they are from they say "Sweden". I think this is really strange and I wonder if they have all formed a pact or something. During the last couple of weeks I have been matched up with people like that pretty much every single game.
What are your thoughts on this, fellow CS:GO players?

Knowing this community, they're probably afraid to say they're russian because they may get kicked due to sterotypes.

Because those silly Russians want a country as Sweden.

Well, Doctor, it doesn´t take very long to understand that they in fact are russians when they speak their native language and occasionally also type their mother tounge ^^
Flamongo, I have not experienced that yet, but maybe in due time!
And sir Uncle, that might be true, but I don´t think that lying about one´s nationality online is the best way to achieve that goal..
