Does bitdefender work well with csgo?
I know it won’t get me vac banned( at least I hope it doesn’t) but does bitdefender work well with csgo in terms of performance? Also I have been using windows defender so for me when I use bitdefender would I expect to see a performance increase or decrease?

So in terms of FPS would you get more from bitdefender of windows defender?
Chase2D May 16, 2021 @ 8:38am
And just to check it wouldn’t cause a vac ban would it?

Altho I understand the "windows defender is better comments" points, they are just incorrect if you're talking about protecting from virus, malware and alike.

If you are worried about viruses and visit shady sites or get shady programs, getting another AV is highly recommended. There are multiple unbiased Antivirus stress and performance tests that prove so.

Perfomance is one of the things that might be affected, if you do choose BitDefender (which is what i use actually), be sure to add the CSGO exectuable to the list of game executables so that BitDefender enters game mode and minimize it's impact. most other AVs have similar mechanisms.

I didnt have any VAC issue so far, hope that helped, feel free to message me if you need help.

What?
Why would it give you VAC? Why would it affect peformance? If you PC is not old, then you wont notice anything.

I use bit defender since my premium kaspersky run out and its alright. You dont need it tho, only if you're paranoid like me.

you seem to be implying that windows defender is not an av

not sure if that is what you meant to imply
That's not what I meant, getting an AV as in downloading an AV other than using the default - Windows Defender, which has generally poor performance compared to other AVs

Use the gaming mod profile and you will be safe it will actually take less then windows defender. The problem with windows is that it's so random when we are talking about CPU usage, it can just start making a anti virus scan when you play a game or just do something odd. So about the increase or decrease. It won't hurt the performance, maybe like 5 + y it would but not today

Ps great anti virus program btw using that for my friends

that is an enterprise email system

did you mean some other program?

most using an enterprise email program have pcs controlled at the enterprise so cant change local av anyway
I mean it's a bad idea to run the same program doing critical task on every computer in the world, because 1 error in it makes the possibility to attack all of them by 1 shot. By having 2 different AV packages on different devices you increase your chance to detect a malware, so even if 1 of your devices get infected you got a chance to protect the others.

u cant really disable defender on windows 10 so..

You can disable windows defender its many ways to to it but you have to do it in the service, regedit and stuff like that its not really easy, but if you download a anti virus program that will make the anti virus have the firewall so it wont let windows defender do anything outside scanning the files when you right click then press scan for virus
