Anyone else's CS2 run better in Proton than it's native linux support lmao?
I will deadass have some low graphic settings and low resolution for CS2's native Linux support but then going to it's windows version but using proton to run it makes it run 10 times better (with higher res and higher graphic settings), it's nice having linux support valve but at least make it good.

cs2 linux runs so poorly currently, i recommend playing on bare metal windoze if you have extra hardware laying around or can dual boot

Proton runs amazingly for me and i do still dualboot but CS2 runs really well in proton so i don't need to at all.

CS2 on Proton? lol its not workable, at least more that 1 hour per week, because anticheat
I’ve found that, running natively, using vsync of all things atleast makes it run smooth. Although it does feel kind of sluggish when moving my mouse.

Yeah I tried that too, ultimately I've just gone back to the native linux binaries, tweaked most of my graphic settings to low-medium with some on high and vsync too, like you said tho moving the mouse does feel sluggish, but for now until valve fixes this i've got this kind of solution to my issue ig, even if it means running ♥♥♥♥ on mostly medium when i can run everything on high and very high with smooth fps, looks like we gotta give that up for a while haha :(((
i've only ever run it natively, but performance has been fine (although it is lower than csgo since they added the valorant childgame colours)

i gave up trying to run the game on low settings because it would get reset by random updates, i would find myself mid-game with dropping fps and shiny freshly mopped floors
