I have a theory that Valve released CS2 to gather attention and more players, then purposely did everything wrong so everybody would want to go back to CSGO. Now we just have to wait for them do delete CS2 and make big money on CSGO re-release

Why do you think they would waste so much money on developing CS2 if theyre planning to delete it anyways?

they probably didnt spend that much but even if they did, csgo cases would pay for that shortly

Given source 2 already existed i dont think any new technologies were implemented so i still dont think it cost more than what the cases would cover, unless i read wrong, according to csgocasetracker, just yesterday 800.000 cases were opened

you're right, i dont know everything about game development of a scale as cs2's but there are things i know are simple to fix and valve still refuses to

also csgo is the only counter strike game to be completely replaced by its successor, in my opinion it shows that they knew cs2 wouldnt be good enough to justify playing it over csgo

This is borderline tinfoil hat territory. it took almost 5 years to port over CSGO to the source 2 engine. That is alot of time and money and resources wasted just to plan to "downgrade" your game again.
Plus Valve didn't spend millions to make the source 2 engine just to shelf it. The plan was always to have DOTA 2 and then CSGO moved over to S2. From my understanding they wanted to do the same with TF2 but the code is so spaghet that it's not really a viable option

I worded the initial post as a joke on how absurd the current state of the game is, but i keep the discussion because theres some good points, Why would valve take so long to port the game then release it (removing csgo) and then acknowledge the game is incomplete (3kliksphillip video: https://youtu.be/UehnwGR8k20?si=ypMBXBNM70-CzjSb) sure the source 2 port could come but not like this
