Will Valve bans players for using Snap Tap (Razer) feature?

Currently, Razer Huntsman has a feature update by Razer to have Snap Tap feature where it assists players to have perfect counter strafing movement.

If Valve allows this in CS2, can we use the Null Movement Script ahk to level the playing field? If we can't use any scripts, then we humbly requests Valve to block Huntsman keyboard from being used in this game. Thanks.

i'd need to know more about how it works. as far as i'm aware, VAC doesn't ban for any keyboard and/or mouse software, but overwatch might.

i still don't know if it's just bunch of trolls or you actually do get overwatch banned for having high sensitivity, if that's the case, then most likely a lot of scripts would also be detected.

personally i'm afraid of using ahk while cs2 is open, i'm 99% sure that it won't trigger a ban, but i rather not risk it.
in csgo i used bloody gun v3 mouse, which has built-in anti-recoil system and it was safe to use.

edit: i just looked up snap tap and that's not what you described. it's simply that people with poor awareness who keep holding "D" to go right and also press "A" to go left without releasing "D", then it would instantly change direction without the need to release previous key first.
there's no way you get banned for that, but i don't know about ahk. i suggest make alt account and try. if no ban within 30 days, then it's safe to say it's safe to use.

i don't really see how that's useful, i can do that on normal keyboard. i have about 1-2ms reaction time when releasing and pressing another key, there's no game on earth where 1-2ms makes a difference.
also in cs2, it takes a split second for your character to stop moving and move other direction, so 1-2ms makes absolutely no difference.

anyway i'm 100% sure you don't get banned for such feature, but as i said before, not so sure about ahk. if you really want to know, just make alt account and test :)

People have been banned for AHK and they should be. The keyboard could easily be defeated if the game maker wanted to add in slight repeat delay to the strafing keys so you cant shimmy like that. Looks like a exploit of the game more than anything.

Wouldnt help someone like me anyway, I have something close to 100% counter strafing.

what is your source regarding ahk?
ahk is tool for windows, just because you CAN cheat with it, doesn't mean it should be banned.
it's exactly same principle as kitchen knife can be used for murdering someone, does it mean kitchen knives should all be illegal?

perhaps they were using some intrusive scripts, ahk can do a lot. it can also draw overlays, that combined with memory-reader you can basically write a wallhack by using ahk to draw boxes around player locations.

i haven't found any solid info anywhere that someone got banned for using ahk in any game, but as i said .. i'm not willing to test on my account either and i can't bother with alts.

i used ahk on EAC enabled games for years and no ban. even tho one game devs said it's not ok, it was still ok. i used basic scripts to swap keybinds tho. it was a game where when playing different modes/characters, you needed different keybinds, so you had to go into keybinds and manually remap things, which took couple minutes and it was just straight up annoying having to do this between matches.
so i made basic script to toggle different layouts / keybinds and added a basic sound effect that played, so i knew which profile is active.

Macro isn't bannable same as AHK script, VAC detects cheats via the running process, if the script doesn't read or write memory, VAC won't detect those scripts.

actually it does, VAC has a blacklist of programs / tools. this is what i'm afraid of. about 20 years ago when VAC was quite new, i got banned for using fraps, it was pretty much only screen recorder back then.
my friend also got banned for "color aimbot". it somewhat worked with colored models in css and other games that allowed colored models.
i had colored models in css aswell and it didn't get me a ban, but my friend used colored models + color aimbot and he got banned for it. i asked him about the ban and he said he said he used color aimbot.

color aimbot is what aims at colors on your screen, it doesn't inject any code, it works on your desktop aswell. it had a toggle key, it was only active when that key was pressed down.

this is why i don't recommend running any unnecessary programs on background while playing in VAC servers.

Stop capping, AHK scripts doesn't cause bans, there is no such thing as color aimbot, you mean't to say is color triggerbot? (It uses specific pixel color to pull the mouse 1 automatically) but it doesn't cause bans cuz it doesn't interfere with the in game process.
