Take a look in the vac forum and see how they all lie their teeth out.
Vac bans are delayed to not help cheat developers.
They do get banned eventually but thats the part they are not telling you.
cheat = unfair advantage
you saying "there are unfair advantage to detect unfair advantage" .. like HUH?
as about VAC, you need to research on how VAC works. it runs on server side and it checks game memory and files integrity. if cheats don't make any modifications to game's memory nor files, then cheat cannot be detected by VAC.
such cheats are wallhacks / ESP, because they're read only. they read player location from game's memory, but don't make any modifications, therefore it cannot be detected by VAC.
it's also possible to read player locations from packets, in that case you can route your network via other PC and run cheat software on another PC and have extra monitor next to yours, so you can see where enemies are aka external radar hack.
also VAC bans are DELAYED and it takes 1-30 days before VAC bans are applied. this is why it appears nobody gets banned, but out of about 35 million players, about 5 million are VAC banned, that's quite significant amount. it works, but just not well enough.
the reason why any kind of added dynamic game difficulty balancing (DGDB) benefits cheaters, masking them and is destroying legit gameplay
because of DGDB players are cheated from two parties at the same time
And no, antiaim is moving the head behind your body by changing the camera angle so enemy's aimbot can't hit your head. That's why cheaters look back \ down to floor between shots.
the reason cheaters are gaslighting all day long is to make players doubt their perception, just trust your perception.
and legit players should stop being offended being called cheaters , it just plays into real cheaters card , confusing playerbase even more .
what vac is really good at is spotting legit players
Pitch down AA, has lead to red trust and bans since a long time now.
