Fake skinsmonkey website
Don't really know how to start this, but i was looking to buy a sticker from skinport.
i wanted to look on other skin trading sites to compare prices to the first one that came to mind was skinsmokey. i was tired at the time so i searched for it in google chrome and clicked on the first link that popped up (stupid i know). i scanned the qr code and saw that it wanted me to log in from north carolina (my dumbass still pressed accept) i then got a request to deactivate my steam mobile app authentication.... this is where i got scared so i stopped instantly and realized what i had done. since then i have checked my api unauthed all electronics that have my account and so forth. im just wondering if im cooked or if i should be alright? should i also change my password?
just posting to raise awareness for new traders/players.
stay safe out here its an evil world <3

It's your best to change password and enable 2 step verification for your safety. As my brother has experienced this and consequently his account VAC banned in CS due to the cheater exploiting in the account.

Cheers.

Ok
there were so many red flags

and you still managed to fail for it

100% deserved at the end
Your account is compromised

DO. NOT. TRADE.

Steps to take NOW:
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer. If you used that passwords for another website, change it over there too.
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)
6. Change your trade link
Profile > your inventory > trade offer > Who can send me trade offer > scroll down and make a new trade link.
7. Report the scamming account to support if you are already scammed :Help (top left) > Steam support > CS GO > problem with item > I was scammed

The whole point of it is to force you to initiate a trade and a bot will cancel and redo a trade instantaneously that you would beleive is the correct one but is not, it will be a bot copying the receiver account almost perfectly in less than one second, and your items will be send to another account and lost.
They can do that because they have set up an API key for that, through you connecting to a weird website one day.
If you lost your skin already, you cannot get those back.

So someone that goes into a bad neighborhood by accident and gets shot deserves to get shot?

you seriously compare a serious, possibly life threatning crime to someone getting scammed in a videogame ?
