Valve does not give a single flying ♥♥♥♥ about it's players. As long as they make money, which is approx. 1-2 million dollars a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DAY, just from CASES it's vac free. vac = valve allow cheaters - free. (see anomaly's latest video about, roughly how much money does valve make).

They definitely make money of off cheaters and yes the risk is calculated. They made the ultimate online money printing machine - CS. Their net worth is most likely 10B +.. They chose to remain closed source, plus a small team only working for CS. Because they are smart and they realize it's easy to keep things like this secret or just not public.

Our tiny little squishy brains, ruined from "internet" and "social media" + other addictive pc/phone related things, can't really fight or stop this kind of power and influence. Of course there's pros and cons to everything, meeting some cool people, playing together... that feeling of togetherness and team play.. and so many more. But I think that's also a trap or a very clever design choice by smart, money oriented, soulless developers.

They can absolutely make a proper anti cheat, or something completely new.. other creative ways to fight online injustice. They absolutely have the resources, for sure they can hire 50+ people and pay them 1% of their daily earnings which would not even be close to a pocket change for them and have a strong, dedicated and caring team for such cases. For sure they can make game itself better, with better optimization capabilities, performance, game play and so on... I mean look at valorants code, netcode and gameplay.. (yes i dislike game in general but from what I've seen it runs decent).

But nooo, instead they will build steam marketplace, and make other people and community itself work for them. I mean skins. People create skins, others vote for them, yes they make small amount on their own but still... Valve also charges us on almost every transaction, + percentages on sale/buy...

They will add ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ water to the game, and "wet" effects, and 700+ plant pots on inferno... like that's what the community wanted. Freaking WATER, in CS. A very clever and good way to load peoples CPU's, get them "hyped" on new graphics.. meanwhile most people can barely hit stable 200fps.

I think everything is kinda connected, gpu market, games and so on... And yes before someone else chimes in, that's how technology moves forward and some may say this is just how things are(i know shocking :O), but it doesn't mean that this systems should be exploiting people or having such a massive control or influence over the market and it's people.Of course it's very doable to make a game run smoothly on low tier pc's or at least not be as buggy or demanding. Requiring almost new $2.5K pc, with at least 6 core amd or intel cpus etc... since this game is CPU bound.Of course they could make game where you don't really have to use faceit, esportal or any other third party competitive platform, so that you have a proper anti cheat. Which in fact also fails and I'm sure there are people here who encountered cheaters on faceit too. Especially in CS2 and in recent times... since cheats are also advancing..

They don't even bother to do major events themselves, and it's always ESL of others who do their bidding. They pay these companies, again something small compared to how much they actually make, throw them couple millions for event + prize pool, impose their "rules" on them Further invite people, stream and so on. ~$20m - DOTA major divided from 1-5 or whatever, ~$1m for CS - what valve makes per day just from cases, - what a joke.

Most of us keep playing because our friends do, or we just want something to "pass the time" , "relax after work" , "hang out with friends" , "meet new people online" and sadly also for most of us this game is something our older friends played when we were young, or we played it since 1.6/zero times.. and it used to be simple, used to be fun.. We would go to lan events or "internet cafe" s and meet new people there like IRL, since most people didn't have personal computers back then. We had memories of clutches, plays etc.

Nothing changes if nothing changes.Community should be strong and more demanding. Unite and maybe force a change but I don't think anyone cares at this point. I believe people who have over 2-3K hours in this game realize and know issues mentioned in this post. Good option for now seems to just quit or take a break..

My opinion without accusing is, I repeat my opinion as a dev. valve cs2 have a deal with cheaters dev. in order not to quickly ban cheaters who buy premium cheats from them, and part of the money goes to valve cs2 dev. and I think it is without the approval of the Valve Company that does not know about it and is not involved, superiors should check valve cs2 dev. in my opinion.

Finally someone explains it calmly and understandably. I have around 500 hours in csgo and cs 2 combined. When i found out what they did to csgo after a year of break, i am honestly disapointed. I have been confused about the recent cheater posts on this forum. I have been confused on the recent posts about valve not caring about the game. Finally someone that explains it understandably, and calmly. Thank you sir. I completely agree with you altough i have not seen cheaters on comp yet in cs2, only on casual and deathmatch. Forgot to mention, but see how they require an rtx gpu just to make workshop maps for cs2? And they blocked rendering with cpu last big update. They do not care for the community. Just profit. Saying "that oh they are just developing hl3" is not a valid argument, because they could hire more people to work on csgo2 and tf2 and others.

Valve is working hard on CS2.
Subtick is better than 128 tick.
