CS2 from cs source questions
Ok So I like to play alot of Cs Source offline with Ai and all that because my internet is a fussy pain.
It looks like CS2 is a super fun game, but does it also have the ability to play modes offline like in source? Also in regards to physics and game play what major differences will I need to look out for in cs2?

So are there plenty of offline or single player modes? Or good ways to practice?
no, playing CS2 in offline mode is a BAD idea, bots are dumb and bad even at highest difficulty (that you have to change through the console, no gui for that), they get stuck, they think and jump in place on the bombsite for 40 seconds before planting or defusing the bomb, it takes forever for them to aim at you and shoot.
you can't talk to them like you could in earlier games via radio.
bots in CS2 are there just to run around randomly and maybe shoot someone sometimes on casual or deathmatch servers for a few minutes until enough real players connect.

at the moment of writing this there are currently no bot
improvement mods and nothing I know of is being worked on.

also the only singleplayer mission from CS:GO — the training course that you could speedrun for fun — is not present in CS2. instead, there is a "Training Day" that just throws you on Dust2 with aforementioned half-baked bots until you win 7 rounds which isn't that hard to do since all you have to do is to plant the bomb and hide as T or hide as CT because most of the time they will just jump on the site until the round ends instead of planting/defusing.

bots can't even pick up weapons from the ground, even if they are standing directly on top of them and they have nothing in their first slot

I know it's those bots that they've made for csgo operation missions but still it's horrible, the most unfinished part of the game for sure

regarding physics and gameplay:
1) physics — grenade physics are now using a strict formula to bounce, unlike CS:S where Havoc physics engine is used for them, so grenade trajectories are now completely deterministic. map knowledge now includes "grenade line-ups" to smoke off a sightline from across the map. all world objects are now static, barrels don't roll, etc. dead bodies and weapons on the ground don't collide with each other. smokes are fully opaque but can be shot through for a short-lived and narrow sightline through it, or exploded with a grenade to completely disappear for quite some time.
2) gameplay — weapons now have recoil patterns, not just pure spread, and random spread has been reduced when firing continuously to make spraying more viable. molotov cocktails and new weapons have been added, a lot of economy and round pacing changes, a LOT is different from CS:S. :D

how do the cs2 bots compare to the cs source ones?
I have never played GO so I am mindless in that degree. o.o

well CS:GO bots were fully functional but easier CS:S bots, you haven't missed much, but CS2 bots are just barely functional.
as I already said they can't plant or defuse the bomb most of the time, they are having troubles killing you, they are going to one place as a whole team most of the time if not all the time (I don't remember), yes, CTs too, it's just a huuuuge downgrade…

I'm going to bed now, sorry, but if you want to know something else you can add me and I'll write you tomorrow, good night for now!

you can also download the game and see how bad bots are for yourself, you don't need Prime Upgrade, it won't change anything for offline play anyway, so it's completely free for your use case, but I guess you have some REAL problems with your internet connection, so that's probably not an option…:D

Pretty much csgo/cs2 is mostly for playing with humans pvp most of the time. Bots in csgo are what you won't find challenges like what they used to in CS source
UNLESS if CS2 can support guardian or operation maps like from workshop, it is more fun to play than just simple 1 mode plant and defuse despite the bots in here are way more dumb than other cs

Edit: by my mean is if you played csgo playing bots in custom maps from workshop is more fun and (maybe) challenging on some maps. Sadly this isn't a case anymore because CS2 doesn't make these map working anymore, we will have to wait for Valve to do something about it (or not)

Once I have more stable Internet ill probably try CS2 then..BUT for now ill stick to source. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions every one. I wish you all great games, fun kill streaks, and Aimbot-wall hack less games!
