CS2 is top of most played games ?

I see is most played on STEAM, but why now u need to wait even 10 min. to find a premier match ? as single player ?
Few days ago were not even 3 min. to find a game.

Did you change your max acceptable ping? Is it off hours for your location? Is your rank too high so match making takes a while?

because common sense, not everyone who "plays" the game, actually plays.
some people just idle, there are lot of scam bots who just drive up their gametime with bots, lot are alt accounts, so even if there's 1.5 million daily players, then most likely a good 50% of them are alt accounts and/or bots.
lot of people only "play" it for gambling.
lot of players only play casual or deathmatch
players are generally spread across different modes.
your max acceptable ping might be too low.
you might be playing during "bad" times. most people play between 18:00 to 01:00 by their time. so if you're in EU and play couple hours either side of that time frame, you will most likely have hard time finding a match. you can change to USA, but then your ping would be a lot higher.
there's also a time frame when almost nobody plays, it's when one side of the world has finished their gaming session and others haven't started yet.

in competitive and premier, i usually only have 2000-3000 searching, however i set my ping to 25ms, which significantly increases queue times.

queue times are based on many factors, including your rank/rating.

there are a lot of bots farming the rewards and all, the playercount isn't the real number of people. Just check faceit there are only like 1K players at peak moments, it's hilarious.
The only ones still playing official valve servers are just cheaters, people who farm the drops and people who have nothing else to do and don't mind wasting 30 minutes of their lives every 2 games once a cheater starts spinning.
