Valve recommends Vsync + Reflex + Gsync/Freesync.
Why?

Isn't vsync the enemy of competitive shooters?

because it limits fps and computer will not work at 100% and therefore making it live longer time.

yeah but Vsync is notorious for making input latency much longer… to not overwork your computer you're better off just limit your FPS to something 1.5-2x higher than your monitor refresh rate, it's still worse than having as much fps as possible in terms of input latency, but it's almost unnoticeable
but maybe Vsync somehow works better if combined with Reflex and Gsync/Freesync, I don't know, haven't looked into that, I don't have a monitor capable of either Gsync or Freesync and never had one

That's exactly why you are 4700 elo in Premier, well, partly. But keep trolling on these forums instead of playing the game and improving!

Vsync is not your enemy anymore. ppl still believe that and throw outdated facts of pre historic fossil PC's around. modern monitor's and pcs dont stutter and lag behind like they did litterly ages ago i play with Vsync on and there is nothing that would make be worser than vsync off. ppl think more fps= they can see more. that is just a old myth they still cling on while blaming their team mates they loose every match :D

but hey i play on a 4090 on a 75HZ monitor im better than most of those ppl that run their game at 1600fps while i run at 60 on vsync lol

It’s pretty smooth with all those settings enabled. Also they majorly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ something up with frame timing so I think it’s the only way to have a smooth game

I have a 3070ti and play on a 240hz monitor and especially in CS2 vsync on + nvidia reflex on looks 2x smoother than both off with no noticeable difference in input delay. For some reason at the moment cs2 looks much more choppy than other games with vsync off, I think valve has some performance issues to fix there but for now vsync + reflex on is the way to go

I'm on 75Hz and i have to agree, Reflex + Vsync + Gsync/Freesync does feel pretty smooth.

It felt slow. It's like moving my mouse in a mud. Ill try play comp and see.

you also need to use G-sync for it to not be slow as per this article:

when it's "like moving your mouse in a mud" it's exactly what input lag is

im talking about that person who claims it runs fine with sync and boost on. For me personally, it has input lag. So dont use this if you dont have g sync

Just an update, I've played a few comp matches. I can see that there's clear distinct chance to win a duel. When enabling VSYNC and Boost On. I had 144fps because i have 144hz monitor.

When we both peek at the same time, I had more chance to shoot first rather the opponent.

One more note, it felt like Valorant movement. It was slow but precise.
