Using a wallhack is allowed it seems, you have no risk to get banned with only a wallhack, even aimhacks are undetected, they can't even detect a dude hopping around the map shooting through walls (i thought they fixed it but i had a full 4 stack of ragehackers on my team the other day)

well sometimes it does trigger this VAC Live thing though, at least from what I see on these forums

wallhacks with a cheat that does not modify the game memory though — yeah, you can do whatever you want and you won't ever get caught by any automated system that they've put in place, you can shoot through all smokes and walls, and while being fully blind, and the worst that will happen to you is your trust factor will get ruined from all the reports and you'll be placed against spinbotters and other such scum. and also you will get those ever increasing in length griefing reports cooldowns.

we need overwatch at least to make those external cheat wallhackers be afraid of being too blatant again…

Wait till u realize they removed the option to report cheaters in cs2 in the cheater steam profile.
Played one game today, got 2 cheaters, lets me report on steam, path of exile, dota, but cs2 doesnt even appear.

yeah, it's too random, it's supposed to be server-side detection, so whether the cheat is free or not shouldn't matter

but again, it's so random it's not possible to say anything for sure about it and it's borderline useless at this point because how rarely it bans any cheaters

I've personally never seen anybody getting banned by VAC Live, but I don't meet spinbotters in my matches, the last time I got somebody blatant — they weren't even spinbotting, just "legit" aimbot, wallhack and zero awareness about walls between them and the enemy (and that was just 1 match, so not a big data slice)

maybe you've played too much different games before CS2, and before you closed CS2 it didn't show up on your "last played games"?… I don't know, maybe it only shows up there *after* you finished playing the game, meaning after you've closed the game, and you tried to report somebody while the game was still open

it only triggers players with detected cheats
so any cheat that is undetected that hasen't been confirmed by the new bs anti cheat won't get banned :D

cheaters have free reign m8, buy any cheat above 25€ and you prob won't get banned
But you'd be a dumbass to do it on your main acc
