End of an era or last hope?

Hello to all CS players here.

I want to share with you my 15 years experience on Counter Strike with you and to discuss about the good things and the bad things (the problems).

After playing this game for over a decade or better said 15 years It's the year 2024 and the Counter Strike 2 which got me to quit on a short time or forever this beautiful but painful game.

In 2009 I started playing CS 1.6 with my friends, LAN and On-Line, we even created our own team and played some tournaments. We were having a lot of fun until 2011/2012 when the cheaters became a big problem and the game was unplayable. The private public servers where ok, because the admins where doing their job, but playing 5v5 was a big problem. A lot of good memories, a lot of fun, laugh and playing with a joy. The game which made me an addict to CS.

2014 my friends bought CS:GO and I was the only one who was scared to ask for money to buy a game, because my parents didn't like that I was spending a lot of time on playing computer games. After having a talk with them, they allowed me to buy the game so I won't be the only one of my friends who does not have the game. This game, it was something else, something unseen, something beautiful. Playing it at my home with 60 ping on 60hz Monitor with GT610 and some i3 processor wow what a feeling man. First game, first ace with AWP on Dust2, crazy I almost cried. No one knows how to play the game, but we all enjoy it. No cheaters, no racism, no verbal abuse, just fun, laugh and team play. Imagine playing over 1000 matches and not getting a cheater WOW.
We created new team, we played a lot of tournaments, we won and we lost games. I have a lot of screenshots from that time, a lot of drops, some Cobblestone Souvenir Package, yea from 50$ to over 1.000$ now days. But yeah, the years are passing by, cheaters started coming in, VAC bans where good, players got banned in the game, but at some point was too much. So we played more 5v5 only friends, private MM. After that some friends left the game, some played when they got time like me. .. the fun, the good moments where gone, it was deep darkness and sadness...

After making a long pause because not having PC to play it, I started playing and enjoying it again, but yeah the cheaters man, you can enjoy it for 2-3 matches, and got disappointing after that.. Me with some of my friends we are waiting for CS2 to come out, following every single news that are coming out from content creators, waiting the day, thinking "we can enjoy the game again and have fun wow", sadly the wait... what should I say better to never knew about this, not worth it at all. The game is out, after short time I got access I start playing and I'm hyped a lot, after 2-3 matches I was like WTF is this man, I'm running behind the wall after 1 second I'm getting delay killed. So I stopped playing for some time, after that I see they fixed the game, but not completely. And I'm like ok, I'm gonna play premier to get some rank for season one, what man, 20 games 2 wins, 15 cheaters, after 50-60 games I won my 10 games because I have some cheaters one my side which of course I reported and even tried to kick them... I decided to leave the premier and play faceit, because of the "ANTI CHEAT", which I knew It will be bypassed from cheaters any time soon. And that's happend, a lot of players started cheating on faceit. From level 7 and 20avg kills I went to Level 4 with a lot of angry and nervous moments, I lost 15% of my hair, but yeah that's it. Here am I, from Global Elite in 2014-2020, to Level 8 highest rank ever reached on CS:GO to Level 4 on CS2. I made some tickets with video cuts from the demo against cheaters, send them to Faceit, but they, like usually, cannot decide what to do. In my 50 Faceit games I faced over 27 cheaters, so I decided to stop playing this game. After 15 years, I stopped enjoying CS, from fun and laugh to angry and sad moments.

Valve a multi-million dollar company is doing nothing for the game since 2018, only releasing new cases, new capsules and couples of operations to get money, money > quality, community ... Skins became like most overrated thing in the game, and play huge role in keeping the current players. Gambling, what should I say, should be banned forever. That's the reason this game will be unplayable in 1 year maybe, and yeah last month Valorant gained 1.8m players. I'm gone, until Valve is fixing things, and dropping some major major update. Until then my friends, after playing over 12.000 hours on CS 1.6 CS:GO and CS2 combined. I'm gonna try Valorant or play some other FPS Solo or Multiplayer games.

*Valve you should give hardware ban go GPU and CPU direct, so they cannot play on the same PC anymore.
*Faceit, good luck getting rid of the cheaters
*Active players, good luck on losing your hair playing CS
*Cheaters, I hope that you will never be able to play anymore in your life
*New players, Uninstall this game and start doing something better in life.

hardware ids can be changed almost as easily as an IP.

This game is ruined by cheaters and Valve have no intensions to fix this . This game is ruined , just find anything else to play - this will fix the issue or as Oyun Arsivim said just join the dark side.. I prefer playing other games !
