Are the numbers of players in the game real?

what is it like 1 million monthly players ,, could be there are billions of people on the planet , so ya i guess 1 million could log on and farm a case monthly ... and not sure how the game puts people together in regions , but i am guessing they put people together a lot from same area's or somewhat do

let's say that 500,000 are bots for knocking out cases, but it still seems to me that the online numbers are fake

The number is not accurate at all. It has to be less than 1/10th of what they are stating. Considering the amount of bot farms I've run into. I think the actual real player count is a couple hundred thousand at best, considering the game is big around the world. Still way more bots than actual players so that tells you the numbers are fake and they have no desire to give the real numbers because that only hurts themselves.

that don't work anymore to farm cases, if the bot get 0 XP would never level up in order to get the weekly drop
