Verify Integrity of Game Files

I was joining a competitive match, the game told me I needed to verify the integrity of my game files after I clicked into accepting.

So I went to do that, the thing is stuck at 0% and I can’t re-open my game.

So now I cannot play the game at all, I guess I’ve lost my elo for the comp game too. I don’t get it, if you guys are so strict on this VAC bs how come there’s still so many cheaters, and I have never even installed anything in addition to the base game on my computer, why am I in constant need to verify my game files!?

If you had CS GO before and upgraded it to CS2, I'd say you'll get rid of some of these problems by simply uninstalling it and installing CS2 fresh. There may be some leftovers from CS GO that are causing some extra issues sometimes, and I think most of your settings will be restored cause they're on your account, maybe except video stuff.

I am actually on a new pc, it’s literally never ran CSGO. That’s the weird part, brand new pc for less than 2 months, and somehow I have been asked to verify game files more than twice this week.

But yeah I’m in the process of downloading it again. Thanks for your advise

its stuck at 0 for me too. 2nd time this has happened. I've uninstalled and reinstalled before and it still does this. Very irritating

Same with me, checked integrity a few times, reinstalled the game, restarted, nothing helps, sometimes is fixed with just game restart, sometimes i need to verify integrity, restart the computer and so on.
