How much longer are items going to not be visible in your inventory?
I use certain sites that tell me the over all value of my inventory but it isn't able to calculate it due to the recent update where items you buy or trade don't show up for 10 days or something.

Any clue how much longer this is going to be and if there is any news on a fix?

Yea unless valve decides to reverse it

yes

citing patch notes:
  • Purchased and traded Counter-Strike items will not be visible to other users who view your Steam Inventory for 10 days

I see thanks for the info. Appreciate it!
maybe they reverse it after they find out how this is just destroying trading and helping scammers but valve is a despicable company so problaby not

Yes! I don't understand the point of it, I understand the trade lock for 7 days and how that can stop gamblers/scammers but to not SEE other peoples items is odd and I just can not understand the reasoning behind it.

According to the patch notes posted the change was intentional so unless they get a bunch of backlash I doubt they reverse it.

I would guess it was done to discourage p2p trading and third party sites, to increase traffic through the market where they make 15 percent.

Actually yes that makes a lot of sense, thanks for explaining.
there's nothing to "fix" its not a bug its a new "feature". its focus is obviously to suppress the degen gambling sites/users, but unfortunately The Valve Hammer is on everyone who collects/trades pixels. as usual.

in my 10 years of trading i've never seen a buff to trading, we only get nerfs like this latest one. you just have to get used to these changes as they arent going away. and im sure more is coming.
ok
