I just got a 24 hour global cooldown from VAC

Ok disclaimer: I have a lot of hours in this game, I don't use cheats. I started using 25600 DPI on my mouse, and switched between 800 and 25600 for memes during premier games. However, I got cooldown when I clutched a round with another teammate, and then defused, and then span around with the dpi set high and I accidentally killed my teammate. I think the enemy team all reported me at this point thinking i had something, then a round or two later I was GC'd and the match was cancelled, scary red notice saying cheating was detected yadadada.

Anyway, I would like to hear from you guys, anyone else having this happen to them? Do you think I'll get a vac ban on my account? Either way, fooling the system into thinking im cheating I see this as a win.

its possible but from what we can tell VAC bans you for a day if it detects something sus and it will cancel the match and then it sends the demo to a real person to watch it and determine if your actually cheating
so if this was all you did they probably will see it was just high DPI and not ban you

VAC does not give temporary bans. It only gives permanent bans.

it does give temporary bans its a 1 day cooldown to give time for the overwatch people to review the demo

yes but there's this new 24 hour cooldown saying "VAC has flagged your gameplay as irregular" and also it cancels the match when somebody gets such a cooldown

The only thing that actually matters is, ...you teamkilled, and got a 24h cooldown because of it.

Also, to OP, please don't do this anymore. You can get your account VAC banned (or game banned whatever) permanently.

It's more of a "play stupid games — win stupid prizes", right, but if your account is worth anything to you you might get frustrated if you lose it, so don't let that happen

If it was a normal cooldown for dealing too much team damage/killing too much teammates OP would've been kicked from the match immediately and there wouldn't have been any
