But I think that you do need to hear your teammates throwing smokes at least, so that you can know whether to be suspicious of a smoke/molotov or not. So that you can differentiate between enemy thrown grenades and teammate thrown grenades
hm, if you're using it just for demos, maybe going into vpks and just deleting unneeded sounds would work…? :D since you're not connecting to any sv_pure servers anyway
but that's much more labor than just typing ignorerad… :(
I would imagine they added it to prevent players from deleting wall textures and seeing through walls.
otherwise it's very useful when allies throw nades, this way you know if it was friendly or enemy who threw the nade.
