How to disable character voice lines?
How do I turn character voice lines off? I do not need to hear 4 different agents saying they are throwing a flashbang in my game and in demos. It seems ignorerad and snd_setmixer Dialog vol 0 do not work

Well in CS:GO ignorerad worked :(

But I think that you do need to hear your teammates throwing smokes at least, so that you can know whether to be suspicious of a smoke/molotov or not. So that you can differentiate between enemy thrown grenades and teammate thrown grenades

Ok but for demos if I am trying to record something with a freecam I dont want to hear all the agents throwing nades

oh here you're right

hm, if you're using it just for demos, maybe going into vpks and just deleting unneeded sounds would work…? :D since you're not connecting to any sv_pure servers anyway

but that's much more labor than just typing ignorerad… :(

Aren't official Valve servers ran with sv_pure?
I would imagine they added it to prevent players from deleting wall textures and seeing through walls.

when you are the server, even if sv_pure is not 0 it will still check against your own modified files :D

don't think you can, we really need option to disable it tho, some trolls are just abusing it and spamming voice commands, makes it impossible to play.

otherwise it's very useful when allies throw nades, this way you know if it was friendly or enemy who threw the nade.
cant even disable skins.
