so instead of like 1000+ events per second it was doing like 100
maybe your machine was starved for cpu time briefly
This was not happening before last update, i also dont feel it in game,
I've seen a lot of frametime spikes, but hte frametime spikes was a thing since beta
i guess clients being used as hosts still being clients only at the same time , but i could be wrong , clients are running the game several times at the same time depending on client hardware and internet ?

Maybe its windows related, one guy solve it by reinstaling windows, what i cant do now
occurs in console after some time playing (not immediately)
and game starts freezing when i try move and aim
but when spectating to others no freezes
