FPS - Check [ Write Your AVG FPS + OS and PC Config)
Hello everyone, I just switched recently to Win 11 23H2, due to some issues with system not related to CS2
On Win 10 I had like 280-350 on Dust 2 other maps tbh I didn't notice, now I'm on Win 11 I reach 350 but quickly drops top 240 on Dust 2, meanwhile on Inferno it's 240 and drops down to 180 or might even less.
So I want to check if it's caused by the update / GPU Driver or OS.
My config:
32GB Ram 3600Mhz CL18
Ryzen 5 5700X
RTX 3070
Game 1080p Max Settings

It's useless to have more fps than monitor refresh rate, in your case better to activate vsync and get a solid 144 fps sync with the monitor (if it supports this refresh rate) & activate freesync / vsync if you have it. You'll see cs2 is much smoother as such.

Vsync will add input lag, I don't use it, and just checking, so that I confirm whether the issue from OS or GPU, or the game.

This is normal, I don't know why there are such dramatic swings in FPS. When everyone is buying at the beginning of rounds there are massive dips too.

Win 10
Direct x 11
I7 8700k 5.0ghz OC
1080ti evga ftw 3 OC
32gb DDR4 4000mhz
250gb SSD

Benq 240hz no dyac

I have everything on low, proper settings in nvidia panel etc.

Now regarding FPS
Max FPS i have seen is 350fps, lowest Ive seen is 150fps.. on average its around 220fps.

I do not kno' the reason of sudden drops or anythin like that, and I don't see sudden drop of fps when in smoke or molotov fire..

Just the game likes to drop 100-150fps just because I look left and right or move around the map, any map.

Strange, I don't have input lag with vsync

Try playing with V-Sync off in non window mode/Fullscreen.
I bet you will find its a lot smoother when you compare.
I have a 144 Hz monitor and when I have V-Sync On its definitly not as smoth as V-Sync Off and letting my Graphics card render as many frames/second as it can. Which is about 200 on a Asus ROG Strix 3080 OC edition. 2560x1440 - High Quality

FPS is irrelevant if you dont state your resolution and Rendering quality....

I can agree on that sometime moving gives fps drop.

You don't notice it maybe, because you are used to it also CS2 Vsync is terrible it locks fps at 138, disable it, and enable it from Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings > Select CS2 > Then set Vsync to Fast, you'll get better results, stable fps, also cap it at 145 or 146 using fps_max in console so you make sure you get the best out of your screen.

I'm on max settings, I've been using Vsync off/Full Screen, yesterday I switched to Fast Vsync from NV Control Panel, it's much better than the game vsync, and capped fps.
