Now ban lootboxes globally.
Well, seems like people will look for another place to buy \ sell cases. There are plenty of EU sites for that still.
Buff disabled the sale of CS2 Cases, Capsules and Packages, and according to them, the decision was not forced by any 'external entity'
No one seems to know the reason but the most common guesses:
- Potential future Chinese government regulations related to CS cases;
- Keep their platform "gambling free", if you go there now you literally only see skins and no form of gambling;
- Case farmers using Buff to cashout as they have a bulk sell feature (this was just me so probably delusional);
Any other theories?
A gambling site is when you're gambling your items \ money for a chance to get something better \ more expensive, but in case of trading cases you just buy \ sell an item without any chances to win or lose something, so it shouldn't be related to the gambling technically, even if those items designed for gambling.
For example, TF2 keys.
Those are also designed for gambling, but they weren't removed from the buff.
Gambling free - is nonsense. Case farmers - is nonsense.
