love playing games where 5 of my teammates are afk and i get to hear haha.wav every 10 seconds
Ah yes twitch numbers must mean the 1.6 million player count is not real.
Forgetting the fact the viewer count doing the major smashed GO.s record,
Also forgetting the fact when tournaments are not happening CS almost never has a high twitch viewer count,
Bro this cracked me up LOL
FFXIV must be dead and buried by this logic. Despite the fact we know it has millions of players playing, and tens of millions of subscribers, it's not exactly viewed a lot on Twitch or other streaming sites.
This game is very lucrative to Valve. I don't know why you think it isn't. The amount of money the get just from the marketplace alone, not including the keys people can only buy from Valve to open chests, is ridiculous.
For the last bit, that's your opinion and I'm sure plenty of others share the same sentiment, so you can enjoy the older, more aptly described as "dead" games instead.
I don't feel like you refuted anything I said. Majors are exciting but there is nothing else going on with this game. Matchmaking is terrible.
Valve doesn't have any proof of 1.6 million beyond SteamCharts.
This game is just as dead as Counter-Strike Source after release. The initial wow factor has subsided, and now what's left is zero communication from Valve.
It's just history repeating itself again. Valve cannot properly hold onto the reins of counter-strike, they just do not have a vision for the game at all. The proof is that literally almost all of CSGO was stripped away. Some vision. . .
So... Nothing. Just a ♥♥♥♥ response based on nothing. Good to know. Have a nice day.
What is the upkeep cost on the system?
I am highly suspect of the entire thing.
The cheating problem is easily mitigated through standard social paradigms, like for example not letting brand new accounts play with veteran accounts, not making the game free, banning people who queue and associate with cheaters, ect.
Not even the most basic basic basic mitigation is put into place.
If this game was actually profitable, you'd see Valve making moves to defend the ecosystem.
the people on here complaining turn around and spend money on skins so valve wins without doing anything
there's nothing to defend - cheaters don't damage the item economy
This is true but it is also not sustainable and I have a hard time believing a CEO like Gabe Newell is not being forward thinking.
A competitor game will emerge and literally kill CS2 overnight. It is just a matter of time.
and they both have cheaters and item economies
the world is much stupider than you want to think :}
GO sometimes went months to a year without a major update and it would gain players.
GO hits its 1.8 mil peak when the game was coming to an end,
CS2 was already in testing
The final major hadnt even started yet,
No operation or new case for months,
