Also your RAM timings. WTF? Are you sure you're running it @ 1063MT/s and not 2xxxMT/s?
I legit have no idea why it gets so hot, theres thermalpaste, i have like 5-6 fans in my pc and my pc is elevated and not on the floor.
I copied all these stats from SPECCY which shows everything in depth and detail, These are the full stats it shows me about my RAM:
Total memory slots 4
Used memory slots 2
Free memory slots 2
Memory
Type Unknown
Size 16384 MBytes
Channels # Dual
DRAM Frequency 1064.1 MHz
CAS# Latency (CL) 15 clocks
RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD) 15 clocks
RAS# Precharge (tRP) 15 clocks
Cycle Time (tRAS) 36 clocks
Bank Cycle Time (tRC) 51 clocks
Command Rate (CR) 1T
Physical Memory
Memory Usage 50 %
Total Physical 16 GB
Available Physical 7.93 GB
Total Virtual 29 GB
Available Virtual 17 GB
SPD
Number Of SPD Modules 2
Slot #1
Type Unknown
Size 8192 MBytes
Manufacturer Corsair
Max Bandwidth DDR4-2132 (1066 MHz)
Part Number CMK16GX4M2B3000C15
SPD Ext. XMP
The JEDEC #1 to #8 are all between 650 and 1066.1 but it slowly goes up as the # goes up. at 9-16 CAS latency, RAS#-To-CAS# is at 9-17.
On the timing table my XMP-2998is set to 1499mhz
Bad CPU cooler then. No game should push CPU to run 90 degrees of celcius. Not even 80c in most cases.
Seriously what's the deal with your RAM timings? How can they be so high while your RAM speed is so low?!
EDIT: Oh, I get it now. Nevermind.
EDIT2: This is the correct way: "DDR4-2133".
aside from that i will try and relocate my computer and that might cool it a little more?
i am using the stock cooler i believe on the cpu and i have actually overclocked my fans to their max in the bios already previously. Thanks for the info and i'll try and see if i can ever find a combo upgrade that works because if i get a different cpu it wont fit on this board and then the gpu and the ram suffer the same domino effect.
The stock coolers tend to be somewhat crappy. So don't expect to get significantly better results by relocating your case or by opening the side panels.
Back to the RAM: You could check BIOS and make sure your RAM is set to it's max speed/EXPO*. I got confused by the way you reported** your RAM speed. I'm pretty sure it's set properly though.
*EXPO is AMD's equivalent to Intel's XMP.
**Your RAM should be 2133MT/s but many of the HWinfo softwares report it as 2133/2 which is roughly 1063 hence the confusion.
your PC specs have nothing to do with the issues you described.
why do people think that old pc = broken game?
playing on older PC, will only result in lower framerate, that's all.
I have GTX 1080 8gb vram aswell and i run cs2 in 1440p 60fps and GPU usage is only like 20-30%. it's taking a nap and temps are below 55c
if your temps are between 80-90c, then it simply means you have bad case cooling or bad heatsink on graphics card. i have MSI gamingX GTX 1080, it has 2 large fans and i have never seen it go over 65c, even when 100% load with hot weather (35c ambient).
hits not registering is known issue, i made a video on it while ago:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bs26M9sGlqk
i think it's because of their "sub-tick" system that is suppose to make it more fair to those who have higher ping, but as result it makes it worse for those who have lower ping.
i occasionally still get those moments, never had it happen in csgo tho.
if you feel like you're "behind" of what is happening, that's 100% internet issue. analyze your network and measure your ping to different places, such as google, youtube and steam.
most people do a speedtest and say "i have good internet", but that means nothing. speedtest uses multiple connections and closest server, that doesn't indicate you have good internet.
you have to analyze your connection while playing and see how your ping is outside game, cuz ingame ping is only average and it updates every 10 seconds or so. it won't show you lag spikes.
In PC world 12 year old system is actually considered pretty old.
Its definitely a cpu intensive game. I notice alot of freezing as people are coming into my crosshair.
Im thinking there are some serious gamechecks happening and this is what is causing ♥♥♥♥ to freeze when people are aiming and shooting, if your cpu doesnt have the single core output to deal with it. I dont think having more cores is going to do anything.
Something definitely broke with this game.
Also 90degrees celcius is a little high (maybe clean the dust out of the cpu heatsink), but its well within parameters. AMD cpus are bad for hitting high temps real quick due to the layout on the chip.
Quite a few opinions on this, but ive never heard of a cpu throttling at 90degrees. The old pentium 2 chips ran hotter than that. But I guess 95 is high for a AMD chip?
For your chip 95 is the max, so 90 is within parameters, especially if its under a 100% load.
What?? Haha
