900k doesnt seem anywhere close to being dead.

I don't think it is dead by any stretch. But if valve doesn't get a clue soon that fixing the MM system and a more reliable anticheat is what the community really wants then its days are numbered.

every lobby is full, therefore youre put into fresh lobbies. Which usually fill quick. also check to make sure youre allowing yourself to go into higher ping lobbies which therefore get you more players.
premiere is the mode most people play, so play that if you want to play "seriously"

CS1.6 had an all time peak of 65.000 and has roughly 12.500 player at the same time and people still don't call it dead but legendary but when CS2 has 900.000 it is called "dead" from young overdramatic people.

This game is criminally dead. 4 players per casual server. Also only 2 hostage maps and they make additional defuse maps, not even bringing cs go defuse maps back. Complete debacle.

Not a single community server with actual players on it, casual official servers empty, kick abuse, VAC timeout errors, etc.

Criminally poor state of this game. Feels bad.
