Already got scammed 27.04.2024

Someone scammed me the items are in his inventory hidden for 3 days after trade, I wish steam could send back trade if there was some problems on the accounts with email, password recovery, authenticator changes in the past few days, I could have even been trade banned for few years to get back my items in long term discussion.

I can't even click on his profile because its single dot that is untargatable, I just reported his profile once because it was shown on the trade list with his avatar, I have opened ticket in steam support, there was an icon of his profile, I did everything now we will see what happened, soemone phished my phone? didnt need any email confirmation to change my authenticator on his another device? You have data, you can help steam.

I do not understand steam politicy, someone got hijacked and steam does not care about it at all..

I wonder how many people get scammed from hackers just hacking the databases for these third party websites that people buy and sell on and taking the data. You're a high steam level with lots of hours on Counter-strike? How did you fall for a scam?

That's what I'd do if I was a horrible person. Find a vulnerability in the servers that host these skin selling sites. Gain access. You'd have thousands of accounts you could pick off one by one whenever you feel like it.

I did nothing, my account was phished in another way, i didnt click any links and logged anywhere.

No, that's not true. You weren't phished then. If you were phished you clicked or went somewhere that wasn't secure. Simple as that. You did SOMETHING or your account would be fine.

I checked my API it wasn't a site or API scam, I didnt do anything last days or months, its weird that it just took my SMS message from steam to change authenticator, thats really bad system

Hi, one of my friends got the same thing, he did not trade during like 5 months and got scammed the same way as u. There is no explanation no api key or ♥♥♥♥, the same account with just a blank space scammed him. I can't believe its not a new way of scamming people

i feel ur pain man, happened to me aswell but i clicked a dodgy link and got api scammed, people in here won't give you empathy, but for me i just won't buy certain things from steam or support them as much as i would have since they removed the option years ago to refund or request a review on your items that got scammed :/
