Traded With "."
I set up a trade through CSfloat, I KNOW THIS WASN'T A SCAM, it was through csfloats official website i received texts and everything!!! I sent the trade, the buyer recieved the trade and went to accept and for some reason it wouldnt go through, when i went back to CSfloat it looked like the trade failed and neither me nor the buyer have the item. Now I have a trade in my trade history saying "Stiletto Traded to ." The period isnt an account, it isnt a link to an account or anything so its just like the knife is floating in space!!! WHAT DO I DO!?!?!?

Go to your trade history in a web browser
Right-click anywhere on the page and select View Page Source
Ctrl+F and search for
You traded with <a href=

Bottom line is you were probably API scammed because at some point you logged into a phishing site in which case you should secure your account, deauthorize all devices, change your password and revoke any api keys you haven't put there yourself.

That doesn't mean csfloat or the person you were trading with was involved in the scam.
Your account might have been compromised for 5 weeks and whoever has gotten your API key waited for a trade of yours with valuable skins, immediately cancelled the trade with said csfloat person and redirected a new offer with the same skins to one of their own accounts, all while you were checking your phone to confirm the initial trade.

Because they tried to mimic the same trade you were trying to make with the other trader. You probably opened your Steam app on your phone to confirm the trade but didn't double check the name of the recipient, their Steam level and other things that are being shown when you have to confirm the trade and just checked the items and confirmed the offer leading to your items being in the hands of a scammer.

If you follow the instructions above and look in the Page Source of your trade history you'll find a link to the scammer's profile and their name right after. They do have a name it's just that the Steam client or browser can't display it

But I don’t understand I never shared my API key with any site but CSfloat and they have had it forever, I’ve made multiple trades with the same API key and never logged into sketchy websites I just don’t understand how this happened! Seriously ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ depressing.

Contact the website they should know were it is, if they don't wanna help, they scammed you and have some kind of trade bug they are abusing to steal items from users that leaves no proof behind. Which is kinda crazy............

Literally no one ever talked to you. You just come in, say complete nonsense and act like you're a gangster because you buy cheat accounts and cheats
