Mouse wheel left & right click switches gun

Hello guys, I have a small problem. When I try to flick with my mouse, it often switches the gun. This happens because while I flick, my index finger touches the mouse wheel from the side which activates a side click. I have never had a mouse where you could make side clicks with your mouse wheel or maybe this never happend on my older mouse because it had a different shape. When I hold the side click from the mouse wheel, it acts like I would scroll with my mouse wheel forever. One side is if I would scroll down and the other side is if I would scroll up. Its very annoying because I often switch my gun when I face the enemy. How can I change this and deactivate this?

It depends on the mouse, is there any proprietary software that you can use to customize your buttons?

I guess "Select previous Weapon" and or "Select next Weapon" has a bind to your mousewheel. Check your Keyboard / Mouse settings. It has nothing to do with special software for your mouse. That's just CS Settings.

If it doesn't help check your keybinds you can list all in your console and with "key_listboundkeys". And then bind mousewheel or mousebuttons to other things. And when you accidently hit your mousewheel that's not only an issue with CS. Maybe the mouse design is strange and you should change this mouse.

It’s not scrolling up and down he has a side click on his mouse wheel.

just go to settings and change it under from "keyboard and mouse"

But this side clicks triggers the same scrolling mechanism.

Yea which maybe able to be changed in proprietary software, otherwise I don’t know how to modify. I don’t think he wants to change the scroll wheel from changing weapons

Who tf used scroll wheel for changing weapons? I dont think its more than noone.

Yea I use keys for weapons and flashes but I usually get to smokes and mollys with my wheel, really up to OP though. If he doesn’t mind not using the wheel then he can just disable in options.

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that I fixed it right now. I kinda forgot that I have Razer Synapse on my PC and I looked it up and was able to change it.

My current Mouse is the Razer Mamba Elite which at the same time is my first mouse with more features. Before that one I would always rebuy the same one which was the Razer Abyssus Essential. This mouse didnt have any special features so I guess I just didnt think about Razer Synapse because I never had to use it before.

My mouse wheel has 5 different bindings. I can click it, i can scroll up and down and I can click it from the left side and from the right side.

The left and right click on the mouse wheel is like a macro which would constantly scroll your mouse wheel as long as you hold it.
