Twitch x CS2 scam
I simply want to caution others or offer assistance to anyone who may encounter a similar situation in the future.

I hadn't played CS2 in a few years, since the days of Global Offensive. Recently, while browsing Twitch, I noticed that S1mple, a renowned CSGO player, was streaming. When I saw an opportunity for a Twitch loot drop with (!drop) for a skin trade, I entered my password and verification code. Immediately after, my account was locked out. It dawned on me instantly what had occurred, but I had placed trust in it because the streamer was verified, and S1mple was a player I admired.

I acknowledge my foolishness and feel fortunate to have regained access to my account within three hours. I hope this serves as a reminder for anyone who might encounter such a scam. I hope this post stays in the back of someones mind to prevent their account from getting hijacked. :steamhappy:

It's nice to share because a lot of people are too embarrassed to share these mistakes but unfortunately there will be new people falling for these scams every day regardless of how many warnings. I'm glad u got your account back hopefully with no lasting damage and glad you learned something too :steamhappy:

Appreciate it. Any place with money or value gets swarmed with robbers.
