EDIT: oops this post is from months ago, but I am experiencing this too.
Same here, sadly :( the game is unplayable even though I have invested a good inventory... I just don't want to give it all up after all these years...
if it dont work, go to your BIOS SETTINGS, go to XMP if you intel or EXPO if your AMD user, and DISABLE IT, yes it may seen strange that you should disable something that "boosts your memorie performance" but cs2 is a NON OPTIMEZED game, and that fix worked for me! try it and let me know
Now, this comment/solution is jarring. Never in my life have I had to go out of my way to edit some files (Which I did, and it still doesn't work, NVIDIA, Game Settings, etc.). CS2 should have been optimized from the very start. I remember CSGO when, for almost the entirety of its existence when I was a teen, I never had any lag-based issues for long periods of time until CS2 came along and mucked it all up.
Now, as a fully-fledged working adult, I saved up for a good computer that could last me a decade or so compared to my old PC, which sounds like an airplane engine. I may not be speaking for all of us, but we're just coping at this point that our game that built our childhood, we WANT this game to be GOOD, and we're supporting it, but this game is comparable to an addict that's sucking up copious amounts of cash from us supporters and never truly going into rehab and bettering themselves for us...
