Edit: Cheating an issue we can't fix?

Edit: My title "Best Cheat and Free vs paid?" was doing it's job so well at dragging attention to it the topic got locked quite fast without being read. Hope people will still be able to find this debate if had some to comment and so on.

Now the title is clearly click bait but the subject is serious.

I play around 3500 Elo with about 5-6000 at the very best early stage of CS2 Release.

The amount of smurf and cheater accounts we meet is unbelievable like loosing 8 games in row ain't out of the normal.

This has lead to me and my community actual looking into other games such as Fortnite where we aced multiple games in row and felt delighted we could finally score a win and not feeling violated by players using unfair advantage.

So the question is, Valve when are we gonna see cheater's being punished?

I've reported a blatant cheater ( looking and aiming at us through walls ) this guy didn't try to hide it and one of there team mates even killed him and took cooldown in protest to his madness.

this guy was reported in-game buy what i believe to be at least 6 players and multiple people was given link to hes profile to help file reports on steam.

sadly nothing has yet happen.

So is the future cheats are to be considered okay to use as long we don't use spin bot, cause blatant Wallhack and aim assist is clearly passing through the system like a charm and why should we the legit players be forced to have an really bad day because of some kid think it's funny to cheat and likes to win?

Also are valve going same route as Blizzard and Jagex by doing annually ban waves?? cause that we simply can't wait for then CS2 has to be cut out and we move on to either Fortnite or Valorant.

Id love to hear an statement from Valve on this matter but i doubt it ever happens, but what are other peoples view on this issue how is your skills group?

Please include you're approximate Elo and how bad your experience is I'm curious if only happens in lower bracket

It's hard in the upper Elo because there are so many cheaters. A lot of people derank and throw games, or make a new account to ♥♥♥♥ on lower elo players.

From what I can tell, closet cheaters and wall hackers never get banned, so that it what a majority of the community is doing. It's sad that valve has facilitated and fostered cheating communities for years now. They have steam groups with 10k+ members, I don't think anything is going to change any time soon. Valve already makes soo much money from people gambling on cases and capsules.

One of the very sad parts is that cheaters and their obvious defenders also don't get banned here but people who speak against them do. What a world we live in.

Unfortunately i think the same at as long the game profit's it may just be on standby self running mode until they see a loss in profit.

Sure they have updated a few things here and there but Vac should be a first priority at this point.

My community is 1000+ Elo and not many above 3000 Elo we just play a few games each night to relax and considering how we feel i can't imagine how one at 10k+ that actual care about there Elo how they would feel to simply being stomped

I would say check out some community servers, but they still haven't fixed the community server browser LOL

At that low of elo, I don't think you'll run into cheaters or smurfs that often, it should be very rare. If you are running into them often, the game is in a worst state than I thought it was.

I mean i like the idea of punish defenders but also a bit against it, reason why i am against it is there is actual people who are so bad at cheating it's not even visible to the naked eye. we had one in my community and id feel bad about being punished when i didn't know til much later on.

you don't suspect one with 5 kills of cheating when rest averages 12+ surely if you die early and spectate you might notice it but these "bad" cheaters can go unpunished for the longest time cause they are so bad.

but if there can be a decent middle ground where people are not punished unreasonable sure id love it. cause i don't like them on my own team either.

We was 4 players from my community and 1 random who cheated we did lose the game and i don't know if he actually cheated that game but we didn't suspect anything at all any of us that game

i would not blame other team if that guy cheated and they didnt kick him cause hes performance was not noticeable.

so yeah there is some holes in the idea of que or play with cheaters should get you punished

I'll say it's been worse in certain periods last 2 week's been very hard time and surely it's all random so i could be very unlucky to hit certain people

Vac is a lot like if you fell into a black hole

At first you don't notice anything

And if it gets the opportunity to analyze matches you have been in and detects cheats communicating with the server from your end, then no amount of preventative actions will keep a vac ban at bay.

You could build an entirely new computer, but once vac catches up, it's game over.

If you are new to the game or have a new account, you'll run into more cheaters

Amount of cheaters you encounter is related to the height of your trust score.

High trust score, no cheaters.
Average trust, you meet more cheaters in higher ranks/elo
Low trust score you get all cheaters in any rank or elo.

Because all cheaters ..and trolls and griefers end up in low trust.

Its so extremely obvious but still you ppl draw the wrong conclusions.

Id say it's very rare i do mistakes like team dmg or alike.

I've never had a low trust factor message appear and that does come up in chat if one from group have that

You'll find a lot of people on this forum deliberately troll (for whatever reason). I generally block people when I see them giving false information, that's what I recommend.

Trust factor barely works right now, and you shouldn't have and issue with it in lower elo. If it's low, the game will tell you when you queue.

A lot of people on here parrot trust factor being "green" and what not, watch out for them, a large majority of those people are tolls and are just looking to bait people into arguments on this forum.
