Renting skins now? LMAO
Trust valve to find a way to literally have you pay for nothing. If you haven’t heard, you can now rent skins out of the new case. They have mastered the art of having you pay for literally nothing

To be honest, it's a good idea, if this applies only to the latest case. If a new case comes out, kilowatt case should be removed for renting and you can rent the new case skins for few dollars. If you like any of the skins, you can buy them on the market or try your luck with opening cases. On longterm, skin price will not even be affected by that.
It will end up being a sucker tax or too poor to own tax

Instead of partaking in the actual skin economy at a lower level with a chance to upgrade over time they will be stuck with nothing, zero value, and if they want to keep having the coolest newest skins they gotta pay weekly for that, probably getting tricked into paying more for the game and skins in total than what they would if they engaged organically in the skin economy and used the skins they could affford

once again the FOMO and the idea you should have what you can't afford is dangled in front of people to rob them of any value at all

imagine renting for a year, then imagine all the skins you could actually own if you saved up and bought something instead, that you then can sell later instead of being left with zero value¨

consider if this was here from the start, you buy a case and a key for every week of the year if you want to have a cool skin permanently
it gets expensive quite fast and the more you enjoy the game and the longer you play it the more you lose and the worse the deal becomes.

I think it's a cool addition. Opening cases is obviously better, but for people who just want to try out the new skins this gives them a way to do it in an actual game. I bought 20 cases, I opened 19 and rented one.

Eh, it gives gamers a chance to use these skins in gameplay to see if it's worth it to them to keep buying cases hoping to get it or buy it directly from the Steam Market. It doesn't matter to me, I buy the skins I enjoy in the Steam Market but it's a smart decision to try before you buy.

So what? is it bad? get access to expensive skins for two dollars?
Bro, you can (((rent))) an escort to have sex, I guess it's fair than you can also rent your skins to play a videogame

Paying real money for renting skin is the most stupid thing I could imagine, and the funniest thing, that people would really do it

Yes because people pay for things they enjoy. It's no different than any other hobby for people who have jobs and spend their money on what means the most to them.

Yea I have no problem with them ‘renting’ skins except they shouldn’t do it on existing cases, they should have released a new case

I bet a new case is on the horizon with the summer months approaching and the Steam Summer Sale...

That’s like saying the federal reserve doesn’t affect the stock market. The puppet masters make us dance

The Kilowatt collection is still new, prices of the skins in it would have dropped in the long run anyway.

i don't hate it because smart people will not be affected. valve can simply farm money off of, respectfully, "people of iq"

hopefully with the added revenue they can fix all the bugs with bullet physics
