Prices for the Kilowatt skins dropped by 50% just for a day. I am sure this is the reason why Kilowatt case is the only one that got the rent function. For now.

PS: RIP the guys who bought Kilowatt skins right before the update.

They are going to do it for the upcoming cases, but not for the older ones. Otherwise it would kill the game's economy.

it would but valve is losing out on all kinds of money with skins being sold on third party. i wouldnt be suprised if this is gonna happen with everything

No, this is just an experiment by valve to gauge how effective this rent system would be at making money from countries that banned gambling

think about it, why else would they only do it for the newest case and make it still use a key

We are moving to a global economy where goods are rented and not owned anymore. But this is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and not respectful for people that own skins. I honestly don’t care, sometimes I spend even $5-10 more to get a better float, but in my inventory I own skins that I actually use in the game, so I’m already aware that the price could go up and or drop. RIP people that trade skins. This update was profitable only for speculators owning a lot of Kilowatt cases.

I mean, the real mistake was to consider skins as an investment. Anytime Valve could just introduce ♥♥♥♥♥ like this, that highly affect the prices.

I hope they do, but also I don't think it will matter much for old collections.
Like, imagine wasting 50€ to rent fire serpent for a week.
I feel like that would require some next level of brain rot.
