You can only rent from the Kilowatt case at the moment. There's a chance that you might only be able to rent skins out from the newest crate as they come out which is fine by me. I kind of hope they don't make every crate rentable.

Nah, I hope they just only restrict this option for the latest/newest case instead of any/all cases.

Renting skins was popular in china, now valve wants a piece of that cake aswell. Looks to me like a testcase before making it a permanent thing for all new cases. Then in a few years when the gambling ban is inevitable, they'll bring knives & gloves in for rent too at a higher pricepoint and then do something with the old cases and put all the different collections up for rent. A transition from gambling income to subscription(rent) income for valve.
