If I launch the native linux client, the game gets stuck at the loading screen when I am about to connect to a server. And even if I do make it past the loading screen, it freezes on the screen where I select to be on counter terrorist or terrorist team.

Now I did try launching it again using proton 9.0.1 but VAC keeps saying that there is something wrong with teh signature of the files or something? I did go into CS2s game properties and did a "verify file integrity check" but still getting hit with the same error message.

Is valve going to get CS2 fixed soon for linux? Or am I the only one having this issue?

Its on Windows too at the moment. It is something but not your Linux if it comes down to VAC thing. Maybe a big update rolling-in or something else. Wait it out.

I don't get the VAC error if I use the CS2 Linux client. But it does keep "freezing" at the loading screen when connecting to a server.
UPDATE

So I installed LMDE6 on my secondary desktop that has a Radeon 6900XT and CS2 works perfectly on it. I am specifically using the linux client of CS2.

So maybe I am indeed better off gaming with radeon cards only as I always have been.
