No. How would you “farm” cases. Random drops haven't been around for 2-3 years, you have to kill people like in DM or play ranked games, this isn't TF2. Plus with bonus XP you are 3 wins away from ranking up, which almost guarantees a case and a gun skin every single week. Which a ton of players do, which means more cases and reduced price.

idk why buying expensive skins when i can use that money for actually buying games
If you play a game for 7000 hours like CS:GO / CS2 then it's not that much also as you can always sell your skins and turn it into games.
