I FOUND SOLUTION FOR "CS2 crashes/freezes mid-game"
GUYS I FINALLY FOUND A SOLUTION!!!!!!!

(In case if you find your problem similar to mine)

Problem: Game works fine, constant 72 fps (72 Hz monitor so I limit my fps), so it works fine until it randomly freezes and you can't close it, if you try, the screen will be black and you gotta kill it, but you can't kill it because you can't open anything because of the black screen, so only solution is to restart the PC. (in my case, with 2 monitors I easily open task manager and kill CS2, then re-enter the game. Usually, this crash happens like 2-5 times DURING A MATCH, not in main menu.

If you find yourself in the above problem, here's what I found about this problem, and how to solve it:

About the problem: it usually happens when you get a headshot, someone dies, when spectating, when grenade explodes, etc. (in my case). I think when these things take place, an overload happens and it just crashes. I still don't know if it's software or hardware related.

How to solve it:

(not very important, but you still should do these steps too)
-close all programs that run in the background;
-the high voices of the players that speak in the microphone seems to cause an overload, so reduce the volume of their voices in audio settings of the game;
-play with numbers of players instead of their avatars, you can change that in settings ---> game ---> HUD;
-you can try typing in console "clear" every round;
-sometimes, inactivity also seems to freeze the game, so before the end of every round, move, shoot, jump do anything, don't be inactive.

(MAIN STEPS / VERY IMPORTANT STEPS)
STEP 1: in steam library, right click on CS2, select "Porprieties" and in "General" you will see Launch Options, type the following: -dx11 -threads 0 -tank_WorkerThreadCount 0

BEFORE TYPING THE LAUNCH OPTIONS, instead of "0", you should type your processor's number of threads. How to see your threads? Use CTRL+ALT+DEL and open task manager, or right click on the task bar and select task manager. from Task Manager, go to Performance, and in the left section you should see CPU, select it and somewhere you should see written "Base Speed", "Sockets", "Cores", and then you will see "Logical Processors" followed by a number, THOSE LOGICAL PROCESSORS are the number of your threads. FOR EXAMPLE I have 4 Logical Processors, so I will type "-dx11 -threads 4 -tank_WorkerThreadCount 4". (DO NOT type exactly like me as you may have a different number of threads).

STEP 2: (you gotta do this step everytime when you open CS2) a main problem could also be a program called "Runtime Broker", shut it down from the Task Manager by clicking on it and selecting "End Task". Now, when you open CS2, you should play Windowed Fullscreen, because when in Fullscreen mode, the program will automatically open itself again. (if you don't like windowed fullscreen, you can try the game without doing this step, or try fullscreen and see how the game performs or if Runtime Broker still opens itself in in fullscreen mode, do some tests).

I HOPE IT WILL WORK FOR YOU TOO !!!

(Disclaimer: it worked for me, I don't guarantee it working for you too so it's not my responsability, do the above steps at your own risk, but in conclusion of the above steps, nothing bad should happen, but still not my responsability).

Please tell me if it worked and spread my message everywhere as it may help others too, because I never found a solution on the internet, so I did it by myself.

Have a good day and enjoy gaming.

Thank you for publishing this article, my problem was not completely solved, but before I couldn't play for more than five minutes, but now I can play for two or three hours easily, my problem was solved by turning off other people's voices

bottleneck causes this issue, try play wingman with low amount of players, ur ram never get to 100%, go to a big match like deathmatch, once ur ram reaches 100% ur game start lagging till freeze and stop functioning
i saw many players with same issue, most solved this issue by adding more ram

I have been getting this problem since the cs2 beta process and I am someone who does all the details you mentioned. The problem is not related to these, the problem is the hackers and the cheat programs used. Actually, there is no problem in the game, but since hackers constantly use ddos on game files and servers and there is 99% cheating, the game is currently at a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ level. Those who use cheats understand that they are reported and start playing on other accounts, no one knows how to report, no one understands the mentality of the game, the "legit" playing cs 2 community ;)

bruh same issue for me and thx a lot for Details hope u accept my add

2- why using -dx11 even the game its self using high graphic no need to put dx11
if any fps drop try to ( chose Disable FX res )
that gonna give u a huge fps Boost and graphic become smooth
3- your guide i think not found in youtube + Riddit so thx for help

guide
this worked excellently, before i had 1-3 crashes per premier game, now i went 3 games in a row without crashing, i crashed at the 4th game exactly after 2 hours because suddenly runtime broker started running even tho i disabled it in the registry editor, probably gonna find a way to disable it completely, i also went from 95% ram usage ingame to only 60-70% ingame.
