Remember the good old days way back when cs 1.6 were a popular choice for the standard FPS gamers. Cs 1.6 included community servers much like CS2 doese today but with alot more variety. Servers I spend most time on was HNS-servers. also known as Hide And Seek. This mod revovled around navigating through Bhoping on blocks to different hiding spots, XP blocks and weapon unlocks. I had a great time playing on these.

CS:GO also included many community servers that had blocks, hns scrips etc on them but that is not existing currently (2024, mars) on CS2. wich I find very sad.

I want to host a CS2 server with specific plugins and scripts for a HNS server. Aswell as some custom maps. But problem is I don't find any guides on how to do this online.

absolutely. custom servers was the best side of CS. There were so many interesting and creative game modes that people would create through plugins.

It's a shame you don't see much of that with CS2.

However CS2 isn't deprived of it completely. You do have some streamers working with people in creating custom plugins and servers.

But valve sure does like to not just walk but run backwards from the things that made CS great.

And by far their worst consistent sin has been anticheat. Destroying the mechanics of CS2 relative to CSGO has been their 2nd greatest mistake.
