Why is the Russian community so toxic?
I often play alone, and there are very few adequate Russian players, they interfere with the game, jump into molotovs, swear, I understand why foreign players don’t like Russians, when you play with foreigners, the game goes much better and team play is more harmonious. I’m somewhat ashamed of the Russian community.
Why do Russian players get such a bad reputation?

You are acting like if all the countries do not do that thing you are describing which is not true at all... :steambored:

The difference is that Rusia has the highest population in the entire european continent and most of its population lives on the european part...

No other country gets even close to Rusia population... Rusia has 143 million ppl... If we compare that to the EU country with the highest population (Germany) which is only 83 million ppl...
That is 60 million ppl difference... Not even my country reaches that number...

So obviously a player in Europe WILL have more chance to meet a russian than lets say a polish, turkish, polish, german or portuguese for example, just to mention countries I have seen ppl here complaining about...

And since Europe has so many languages, everybody will start complaining about each other but Rusia has way more ppl than the rest of european countries so it is more likely to see complains about them than the rest of countries which is a significant lower population...

You also have ppl mistake Rusia with some other eastern european countries due to múltiple factors (mostly the cyrilic alphabet...)

You are supposed to be russian right? How do you not know this alredy? :steambored:

I know that they exist, I am Russian myself and I am ashamed of my compatriots in front of foreign guys

I feel a huge difference in upbringing between Russians and any other peoples

I have many friends of different nationalities, and we communicate well; perhaps sometimes there are difficulties with understanding, but these are difficulties of translation, and when you play with strangers and they find out that you are Russian, indignation often arises))) thanks Russian brothers

Thank you for such a constructive response, do you think that the community as a whole is no different? There are just more Russians, that’s why there’s such a contrast? )))

It's not just Russian community it's Counter-Strike community in general.

Yesterday I played Premier, my teammate has been killed from behind and called an enemy guy "you fat ♥♥♥♥". I told him "Don't need to be so angry, it's just a video game" and my teammate answered me "SHUT THE ♥♥♥♥ UP YOU ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥". And that's considered I was a carry of my team and we were leading the match. People getting extremely toxic literally out of nothing. Btw, the teammate wasn't even a Russian, but to me it doesn't matter. I am fine with any non-toxic people, no matter their nation or whatever else.

So, don't like to play with toxic people? Play with your own team then.
Playing with friends makes the experience 100 times better.

Smart move, as this is a gaming forum and not a geopolitical hub.

That being said, perhaps it's a cultural thing that the Russians come across as toxic. You would be better placed to understand this as you are Russian yourself.

Is there something about the Russian way of life that makes people act aggressive or toxic?
It’s a difficult question, I only meet aggressive people online, and 90% of them are Russians))) maybe it’s true because the likelihood of meeting Russians is greater.
I'm more worried about the contrast, even the Poles are more loyal than the Russians))) and it's sad that the Russians have earned a bad reputation.

They ♥♥♥♥ in a pit...

russians are aggressive online and in real life. But if you feel down about them, there is plenty of feelgood footage about them online :)))))))
