Are you using the displayport to connect.

Is there actualy any gains from having 180hz from say a 144hz? Honest question

o/c there is, but not as much of a difference as going from 60 to 144
tbh 144 is enough ...

going back to 60hz is awfull

OP you cannot use HDMI use DP

You have to enable overclocking in your monitor's settings as well if you haven't already. I believe it's just 144hz panel but overclockable to 180hz.

Than try to find answer on internet .
In my case I have 144 Hz monitor , but it shows 143,97 .
When I open CS 2 it shows 143 maximum .

Anyway in which mode is your monitor ?
In my case it was in racing mode by default , but after switching to FPS mode colours are different , better .

its fixed i just need overclock the hz to push until 180hz and do some setting in nvdia setting, and now i can use it at 180hz, but is overclocking monitor can harm the monitor lifetime in the future ?

In theory yes. It will "wear it out" faster but you'll probably end up buying a new monitor before your old one dies. So don't worry about it.

I have similar Asus monitor. It has 144hz panel overclackable to 170hz and I only use 170hz in games like CS.
