with the new update, can weird crafts or weapon names get you banned?

Currently not yet, people were already putting racist/homophobic slurs in crafts and offensive name tags on weapons in csgo and not getting banned.

Valve kind of had it coming with this update, the ones who greenlit the sticker update must have been really stupid to not understand what people would create. Some strickers do not even need to be stacked to make a nasty word, you just need to put them on a line.

I heard that some people had their nametags removed and also lost the privilege to use name tags due to that, but I personally never met those people.

As it stands, no. There have been people with blatantly racist name tags for weapons, and support/steam can't do anything about it since it's an item in their inventory and they can't edit that. So the same will happen here as well.

They'll need to make a new system or give support more control over these things otherwise it'll just be like this.

There was an infamous toxic person on forums who had his name tags for years despite them being blatantly racist, and support said nothing they could do about it. Even when community mods were around they said they didn't have the tools to do anything.
