people who leave
should automatically get a 1 month ban. i dont care if its your internet or if you simply leave. but nah, we gotta get new graphics for cs go.... more important than grievers, or cheaters.

ty for the priorities trash valve.

Sometimes it’s out of their control.

I think a better solution would be simply allowing another player to join the match in the place of whoever disconnected, they do that in GamersClub (a south american third-party matchmaking platform) and it works very well

Go play on faceit it’s much better plus 128 tick servers. Cs 2 match making is just trash :csgocross::csgogun:

Skill issue, if you were good you'd win 4v5 games instead of coming here whining.
That's why stacking cooldown exist..
But i agree 30min is not enough and 7d maximum is also not enough.
Ban should start at 2h and end at 1 month and after that keep 1 month ban like the 7d.
If you stack 1 month ban you get permanant ban after a while.

Nah that's too much. I suggested Valve to force them to pay for everyone's elo if they leave.

The system already says how much rating you'll get or lose, so they are able to cancel the match and force the leaver to pay even if it means making him go all the way back to 1000 + lower trust factor to avoid smurfs and then a game ban (if they can't take more points from the person).

This idea is simple, it works, it's viable and it would make everyone happy. I understand some people have bad PC, but if the game crashed one or twice, why keep trying to play competitive or premiere in the short term? If the person already know the PC crashes the game and is still doing it, it's griefing and punishment must be applied. Go play Casual...

Lets imagine a situation where you get a crash and are unable to reconnect. Boom. Banned for a month. Is it justified? Is it fun for anyone? Of course not. This is why the current system exists where your cooldowns get longer.

He lives in a perfect situation where nothing goes wrong for him. That's why he doesn't care for anyone else.
Then again, why would anyone care for what he wants?

Stuff that you can't control happens and you already get punished for it.
This guy just can't control his anger and is throwing a tantrum.

I would definitely support harsher penalties for leaving but 30 days for leaving is just too much.

Harsher penalties would only lead to an even worse community.
Even more new accounts getting created just to evade those penalties.

Some people leave for nothing, they must do this as a pattern for when they cry tears of pain and statistics should rinse these people from matchmaking. I have had people leave in the 4th round because they did not get it THEIR way at the start. Some people disconnect legit because of internet problems but some are just obvious quitters, usually the ones crying.
