Premier unranked player can't be our 5th

My friend is unranked for premier, last week he could play with us (all ranked) and now since the update we can't search for a game if he is in the lobby but i can't see anything about this in the changelog??

This update causes this. If your 5th is Unranked, he can't queue with you.

They did this to prevent boosting, which has been a common issue in Premier. This will also help with accounts that are new and are hacking as it forces them to queue into lower level lobbies where they are more common to be reported. And sometimes matchmaking will have a goofy and pair a 5 stack (consisting of 4 13-15k and 1 unranked) with a 5 stack of 15-16k+. Which leads the 4+1 to get absolutely train wrecked and lets the 15-16ks get free elo.

Thanks lol it embarrassingly seems I didn’t read the change logs as well as I thought! I suppose he will have to solo queue, no drama cheers

as far as I understand, you can - as long as they have established rating already.

I think that all unranked should play solo queue to get their rank because otherwise they could be boosted by some cheater that win 10 games for them. The grind to rank up is not that bad if you are an actual good player and it gets easier if your whole team is really good at the game. The problem with being able to boost unranked beginner players is that they will sooner or later play solo queue and then they ruin 10-20k games. I had a game where 2 players had 2-18 and 3-18 or something while everyone else did well with a positive score and the game were somehow fairly equal, infuriating.

Not true, I cannot five queue with a bunch of friends below 10K when my acc is 20K+. It seems you cannot queue with anybody who has less than half of your rating, or 10K rating less. Not sure which one.
