Crashing every round/game in CS2 with i9-14900k and RTX 4090, any solution?
I have uninstalled everything to try only with steam and CS and neither.

Have you tried underclocking / undervolting the CPU? I’ve been struggling with the same issues. Crashes straight to desktop.

149000K
RTX 3080
96GB DDR-5

Yes, undervolting CPU to 253, and it works better.
96GB DDR5? What are you running, like 5 games at once?
i have the 14900ks and i have no problem at all its not about frequency of the cpu
Its more software problem than hardware issue

the last thing you can do its a fresh windows install because its maybe a virus or an other program interfer with counterstrike

I do video animation as my primary job on this computer. After Effects and Premiere eat up all the ram you give it.

Try to roll back to older version of the nvidia Graphics driver . I think its's a graphics driver crash not a game crash i am not sure though.
Found a solution (At least for me with similar setup). Turned out there is some issue with 2 latest intel chips. I was also having a lot of issue with random GPU errors before that also got solved.

You sort of have 2 options here. Both are putting some limits on the CPU basically and all my issues went away.

just use fps_max 400 (instead of fps_max 0), that fixes my crashes with CS2 here.

My System : Intel i9-14900ks , 64GB DDR5 6800@6400, Asus ROG Z790 Gamin-E Wifi II (Instable on 6800/6600 on Memtest #6,freezes) , RTX 4090. Not overclocked.

Same errors before on 13900ks with ASUS ROG Z790 Gaming-A Wifi, DDR4 PC3600CL16.

Undervolting CPU/GPU does not make a difference there. CPU is undervolted -0.050V GPU @70% with Afterburner.
For me, i realised the issue is a combination of the bios settings, the motherboard and the cpu. I am also using i9-14900kf, asus rog maximus z790 hero (bios version was outdated at 0816). The issue was that the bios default settings (on power especially). Cut the story short. These bios settings work for me (yes you have to access bios to change these parameters):
Disable multicore enhancement
Enable XMP (i use XMP I)
Set SVIP behaviour to "Typical Scenario"
Set short duration turbo power to 253 (W)
Set long duration turbo power to 253 (W)
Set max core/cache current to 307 (amps)
BTW, 253W and 307 Amperes are Intel recommended settings
CS2 runs perfect on the steam deck
these are rich people problems lmfao
Solution is dialing in BIOS default settings for i9-14900K according to the intel manual.

- MCE: Disabled - Enforce Limits
- SVID: Auto
- ICCMAX: 400 A
- ICCMAX Unlimited: Disabled
- pl1 = pl2: 253 W
- Power Limit 1 Time: 56s
- LLC: #4
- Sync AC_DC: Enabled
- IA AC_LL: Auto
- IA DC_LL: Auto
- Udervolt Protection: Enabled

Additionally, to add even more stability and reduce thermals you can slightly undervolt the CPU + limit voltage to a max of 1.4v.
- Global Core SVID Voltage: Adaptive | -0.05
- IA Voltage Max: 1400

This will prevent any crashes.

Hello,

This can be the solution. Donwload Intel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility, install and open this app. In the left lower corner you can change the compact view if advanced view of the app is activated. As soon as the compact view is activated you can see Performance Core Ratio. Lower it down from 5.7 to 5.6. Peroformance Core Ratio should be 5.6. Apply the change and close the app.

Kind Regards,
Andris.

How hungry for voltage are Intel chips? I can make my amd chip run stable at 1.2v at faster oc speeds and it's 30C cooler. it doesn't hit above 70C

Why do people buy Intel chips (which usually are more expensive) that pull higher voltages and then they burn them out by letting them hit temps too high with overclocks?

Idk unless someone is a fan boy for the company, that seems like lowering the lifespan of that cpu and also increasing your electricity bill.

Might as well literally burn money at that point.

Whatever the chip is, just if it's pulling 1.4v+, undervolt it by 0.2v ( or as much as possible whilst keeping it stable*) for the love of god and then just adjust ram timings and frequency to balance out the oc as needed.

Also if using multiple fans in a cooler, might all face the same way in your radiator but a fan that doesn't work properly might spin the opposite way and then your push-pull configuration (pushing cold air into radiator + pull hot air out of radiator) turns into (push cold air into radiator + push hot air into radiator + pull less heat away from radiator)

I had that issue once. Take side panel off case and look at the fans on the cooler/radiator and then turn the pc on. If they're all not spinning the same way then fix that *immediately*

I had that issue before and felt a great deal of grief of what I was unknowingly doing to my cpu
